Cadet Captain: Jordan Gosine

Those
cadets who attended the WSSYSA regatta at Felpham Sailing Club at
the weekend will no doubt agree it was an excellent weekend of
racing in what were near-perfect sailing conditions.
Third place in the team trophy was a magnificent achievement,
especially with our 7 boats competing against far larger teams.
Special note has to go to Jack Munnelly and Vicky Cuthbert, who
sailed their RS400 to first place in the fast-handicap fleet, and to
Jack Holden who beat off numerous Lasers, including 3 others from
AYC and the winner of the past 3 years, Jim Forsdyke of Pagham, to
secure second place in the fast fleet.
Once I have a full list of results, I will honour the rest of the
team with the full credit they deserve, but for now, well done and
well sailed to Jack Munnelly and Vicky Cuthbert, Jack Holden, Jordan
Gosine, Richard Keen, Jonny Holt, Sophie and Kristian Miles, and
Madge Poynter and Alice Gosine. I hope your are all as proud of
yourselves as the Club is of you.
Hopefully, next year we can go back with a bigger and better team,
pull off a clean sweep in all the fleets, and bring the trophy back
to AYC.
